- Installation
- ------------
-
- ActionMedia(R) II drivers for Indeo(TM) Video Version 2.12-A2.1 are
- distributed in a compressed file called INTEL.EXE. This file contains
- two more compressed files: DISK1.EXE and DISK2.EXE.
-
- NOTE: To decrease the download time, we have provided a test file that
- only contains 1 second of Indeo video. The confidence test plays the
- "dance.avi" file. Therefore, if you want to save the larger test file,
- rename it prior to running setup.
-
- To install version 2.12-A2.1 of the ActionMedia II video drivers, execute
- INTEL.EXE from a DOS prompt, using the case sensitive command line below.
-
- intel -saGRee
-
- This will decompress the two files DISK1.EXE and DISK2.EXE. Create
- sub-directories for each file (i.e. DISK1 and DISK2) and move
- each file into its own directory. Execute each one to decompress the
- files they contain and then copy these decompressed files to separate high
- density diskettes labeled disk #1 and disk #2.
-
- Install disk #1 into the A: or B: drive. From Windows, run the
- SETUP.EXE file that is on disk #1. By default, Setup will try to
- install the update files to the C:\AM2 directory. This update can be
- installed into that directory or over an existing directory such as
- C:\AM2MCI. Setup will later prompt for disk #2. A new group called
- "ActionMedia(R) II Tools" is created.
