  22. Installation

  25. ActionMedia(R) II drivers for Indeo(TM) Video Version 2.12-A2.1 are
  26. distributed in a compressed file called INTEL.EXE.  This file contains
  27. two more compressed files: DISK1.EXE and DISK2.EXE.

  29. NOTE: To decrease the download time, we have provided a test file that
  30. only contains 1 second of Indeo video. The confidence test plays the
  31. "dance.avi" file.  Therefore, if you want to save the larger test file, 
  32. rename it prior to running setup.

  34. To install version 2.12-A2.1 of the ActionMedia II video drivers, execute
  35. INTEL.EXE from a DOS prompt, using the case sensitive command line below.

  39. This will decompress the two files DISK1.EXE and DISK2.EXE.  Create
  40. sub-directories for each file (i.e. DISK1 and DISK2) and move
  41. each file into its own directory.  Execute each one to decompress the
  42. files they contain and then copy these decompressed files to separate high
  43. density diskettes labeled disk #1 and disk #2.

  45. Install disk #1 into the A: or B: drive.  From Windows, run the
  46. SETUP.EXE file that is on disk #1.  By default, Setup will try to
  47. install the update files to the C:\AM2 directory.  This update can be
  48. installed into that directory or over an existing directory such as
  49. C:\AM2MCI.  Setup will later prompt for disk #2.  A new group called
  50. "ActionMedia(R) II Tools" is created.
